Register now for Art Outside the Box, the ninth annual Lunchbox Auction and Golf Tournament to benefit Cape Cod Children?s Place, scheduled Monday, Aug. 5, at Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club in Brewster. Non-golfers can buy tickets to just the Lunchbox Auction.
The golf tournament starts at 11:30 a.m. and is followed by a gala cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., with silent and live auctions, in the Mansion Ballroom at Ocean Edge. Entry in the golf tournament includes admission to the reception and auctions. Auction items will include lunchboxes and paintings created by local professional artists, and other ?specialty? lunchboxes filled with gift certificates and items donated by local businesses.
Proceeds from this event support the programs of Cape Cod Children?s Place, a regional non-profit family resource center providing services to the Cape?s working families and helping them to remain on Cape Cod. Recent statistics show that this demographic has been leaving the Cape at an alarming rate. Family support and early childhood services are needed in order to counter this trend.
