New Jersey was second in the nation to offer legal casino gambling, behind Nevada.
Now some in the latter state are eager to make sure that Nevada wins another ?race? ? legalizing online poker:
Let?s just say that the conditional veto by Governor Christie yesterday both set the stage for New Jersey to offer online gaming, it also lit a fire under Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval..
?In light of the developments in New Jersey yesterday, the need to act quickly has become even more important,? Sandoval said in a statement.
Nevada has had the approval to offer online poker since 2011, but talk of Senator Harry Reid approving federal legislation instead seems to have stalled that state.
Hunch: this issue doesn?t move forward as quickly as the Governor would like.
