Navy chief Maj. Gen. Ram Rothberg said his force?will be responsible for securing Israel?s offshore gas fields in the eastern Mediterranean and its uninterrupted flow. The Navy will have to?adapt his operational tactics to the new task of defending this vital strategic asset.
