Shanishinganapur
This is a small village in Ahmednagar district seventy four km from Shirdi which is the most visited place, where hordes of people are pouring in throughout the year. These are around twenty four historical Hinayana Buddhist caves dating back to 1st and 2nd Century AD located just eight km from Nashik, the city brimmed with religious importance. These caves are the best example of Buddhist Viharas with idols of Buddha, icons of Bodhisatva and Jain Tirthankara Vrishabhdeo. These two thousand year old caves were built by the Jain kings.
